Before Applying to EKU:

Research Programs: Explore EKU’s majors and programs to find the best fit for your academic and career goals.

Review Transfer Policies: Understand how your credits will transfer to EKU. Check our transfer credit equivalency tool and contact our team if you have questions.

Financial Aid: Investigate financial aid options, including scholarships, grants, and loans. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

After Applying to EKU:

6-12 Months Before Arrival:

  • Begin researching EKU and attending some visits or events.
  • Connect with our admissions team to discuss your transfer process.
  • Start gathering necessary documents such as transcripts and recommendation letters.

3-6 Months Before Arrival:

  • Arrange for your official transcripts to be sent to EKU from all previous institutions attended.
  • Complete any necessary placement tests or assessments required for your program or major (if applicable).
  • Apply for housing (if you plan to live on campus) and explore meal plan options.

1-2 Months Before Arrival:

  • Register for courses with your Transfer Advisor.
  • Ensure you have re-sent or schedule to send any transcripts that had in-progress work.
