For me, it was impactful to study abroad because it focused on what I want to pursue career-wise. It was amazing to experience another culture on a whole new level and see how they are challenging their way of doing archaeology compared to our form of archaeology. Because their cities are built upon cities in Iceland, where modern cities are built on old villages, we were able to visit a museum inside a city building. They found the homestead in the building, and they made the basement into a museum with all the artifacts, with the archaeological site completely intact.
