In this workshop, students will learn what makes an effective thesis statement, why thesis statements are important, and how to construct a strong thesis statement. After, instructors should consider asking students to practice developing and identifing strong thesis statements by incorporating the activity in a Blackboard discussion board, Google Doc, etc.
