In-person workshops and orientations/presentations are scheduled through the Noel Studio Workshop Request Form. Faculty will be asked to sign in using their standard EKU credentials.
The Noel Studio prefers to schedule facilitated workshops at least two weeks in advance. Request approval is dependent on facilitator and space availability. Please allow 3-5 business days for a response. Requests sent during weekends, closures, or University holidays may receive slower response times. The Noel Studio cannot accommodate requests for Friday workshops due to staffing patterns and training needs.
Introduce your students to the Noel Studio’s services by scheduling a Noel Studio Orientation Presentation (a Noel Studio representative visits your classroom for a 10-15 minute overview) or a Noel Studio Orientation (bring your class to us for a 20-30 minute guided tour and overview). Due to scheduling and training needs, the Noel Studio cannot accommodate requests for Presentations or Orientations during the first TWO WEEKS of the semester.

Generative Brainstorming
In this workshop, students will be divided into small groups and have the opportunity to externalize their ideas. This scaffolded brainstorming session allows students to ideate then refine ideas with help from their peers and a Noel Studio facilitator. During the workshop, students will go from the “loose concept” phase to having a thesis statement and be able to begin outlining.
Thesis Statements
In this workshop, students will learn what makes an effective thesis statement, why thesis statements are important, and how to construct a strong thesis statement. After, the facilitator will lead a class activity to develop and identify strong thesis statements.
