EKU Crowns 2024 Homecoming King and Queen

Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) crowned the 2024 Homecoming king and queen, Garrett Jenkins and Gracie Agee, on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024. Jenkins, a sophomore from Olive Hill, Kentucky, represents NOVA, an organization dedicated to supporting first-generation college students and others and providing a transformative undergraduate experience. Agee, a senior from Berea, Kentucky, was chosen to represent the Kappa Delta sorority.

This year’s candidates in the Homecoming royalty court included:

  • Sydney Henderson from Mount Sterling
  • Daisy Santiago from Glasgow
  • A’Mya Kendrick from Paducah
  • Justin Mitchell from Louisville

“Congratulations to this year’s Homecoming king and queen and royalty court! The Homecoming candidates are among our most dedicated Colonels,” said EKU President David McFaddin. “These students have made a strong impact at EKU, enough to be selected by their peers to represent their entire organization.”

Registered student organizations at EKU nominate students for Homecoming. Nominees participate in interviews with a panel of EKU alumni, and each candidate’s interview score combined with student body votes, determines the Homecoming royalty court and winners.
