Dr. Sandy Hunter, professor of emergency medical care at Eastern Kentucky University, has been re-elected to the Board of Directors for the National Registry of EMT (NREMT) and will serve on the board’s Executive Committee.
The NREMT is the national certification agency for all levels of emergency technical responders across the United States.
Hunter, who earned a master’s degree in health education from EKU and joined its faculty in 1996, has co-authored a national curriculum for the National Association of EMS Educators and has been a curriculum task force member for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services-Office of Minority Health. He has previously served on the boards for the National Association of EMS Educators and the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions.
