Thirty-five EKU students and seven faculty members recently enjoyed an educational trip to Washington, D.C., that was organized by the University's African/African-American Studies Program.

The group's first day was spent at the National Museum of African American History and Culture. The following day the group visited the Martin Luther King Memorial, National Museum of National History, Lincoln Memorial, World War II Memorial, the White House, Lincoln Memorial, and National Gallery of Art, among other attractions.

"The students, faculty and staff were great ambassadors for EKU during our visit," said Dr. Ogechi Anyanwu, director of the program. "I am proud of them."
