By Bridgit Barger, Class of 2016

My name is Bridgit Barger. You can typically find me with my nose in a book and my head in the clouds.

I love anything and everything to do with books, so I started a book blog a few months ago. As an introvert, it’s the perfect outlet for me to talk about what I love without the dreaded “public speaking” aspect. Working on my blog has really helped me with my writing skills and has taught me about time management – balancing my job, classes, and my blog is a bit difficult, but I like the challenge.

I originally came to EKU because I could easily commute to campus and the tuition was reasonable, but I like to think I stayed for the academic atmosphere. The professors, particularly in the communication department, put forth an effort to help their students, which is a great feeling.

I have exciting dreams for my future – most of them involve moving out of Kentucky to a bigger city – but for right now, I’m happy just meeting new people and listening to their stories
at EKU.
