The Eastern Kentucky University Choirs will present their annual “Deck the Halls!” Holiday Dinner and Concert Dec. 4-5.

The event, to be held in the Keen Johnson Ballroom, blends traditional and contemporary carols performed by the Chamber Singers, Concert Choir and University Singers, plus special guests EKos, the University’s new pop a cappella group. Guests will also be treated to a dinner menu that includes some familiar favorites such as wassail, quiche, salad, Cornish game hen over wild rice, green beans, red velvet cake and more. A vegetarian option of quinoa with dried fruits and walnut stuffed in a roasted bell pepper is also available.

The cost is $30, and reservations may be made now by calling 859-622-3266 (Visa or MasterCard orders), online at https://secure.touchnet.net/C20703_ustores/web/store_main.jsp?STOREID=2&clearPreview=true, or in person in Room 101 of the Foster (Music) Building, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays. Anyone wanting to make specific seating arrangements should call. Tickets will not be available at the door.

“Patrons should expect an evening of fine dining and exquisite singing,” said Dr. Richard Waters, director of choral activities at EKU. “It will be a fun, festive and delicious celebration of the season.”

Doors to the Keen Johnson Building will open at 6:15 each night, with pre-dinner music provided in the lobby. Seating will begin at 6:45, with dinner at 7.
