Mission
The Student Assistance and Intervention Team (SAIT) engages in proactive and collaborative approaches to identifying, assessing, and responding to concerns about students who struggle academically, socially, emotionally, psychologically, or behaviorally. The Team promotes individual student support while prioritizing the safety of the campus community.
Goals
- Provide a reasonably safe and supportive environment for the campus community.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and intervene with students who are struggling or who demonstrate disruptive, concerning, and/or threatening behavior or who present a risk to the safety or health of themselves and/or the University campus and community.
- Provide education and resources to the campus community about the importance of referrals and the process.
- Make connections between campus departments to encourage referrals and provide effective interventions.
