Admission Requirements

Students are initially admitted to EKU as pre-Child and Family Studies majors. To gain full admission to the program, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 45 hours with:
    • 2.75 overall GPA and an ACT of 18 or
    • 3.2 overall GPA and an ACT of 17
    • GPA of 3.0 in the following courses with a grade of “C” or better in each:
      • CDF 203
      • CDF 235
      • CDF 236
      • CDF 246
      • CDF 310
