Scholarships
To apply for Exercise and Sport Science Department specific scholarships and other University foundation scholarships students must complete a common foundation scholarship application. This form provides the student with links to all ESS department and other foundation scholarships for which the student is eligible.
Students interested in pursuing the available scholarships should go to the EKU Foundation Scholarship webpage. Students can choose “current students”, “transfer students”, or “incoming freshman” and then see an option for “Foundation Scholarships”. Based on classification, eligible scholarships will be viewable for students.
Please note if you are looking for graduate scholarships you can select current student. Newly admitted graduate and undergraduate students may access and apply to these scholarships once they are admitted to EKU. Once the student has access to EKU Direct the Foundation Scholarships and any other scholarship which the student is eligible will be viewable and available to apply.
Priority deadline for consideration is March 1. However, scholarship applications will be reviewed until awarded.
Students must complete this common scholarship application for consideration and reviewed by the Department of Exercise and Sport Science Scholarship and Awards Committee.
Honors and Awards
The Department of Exercise and Sport Science provides honors and awards recognition to students within the various majors and concentrations. These honors and awards, which are not financially based, allow the department faculty to recognize outstanding student performance and success both inside and outside the classroom.
To apply for these honors and awards please complete the form below. These honors and awards include: Outstanding Freshman, Outstanding Sophomore, Outstanding Junior, Outstanding Senior and Outstanding Graduate Student. Students who are currently majors within any of the programs in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science are eligible.
Honors Award Day
The Department hosts and annual Honors and Awards Day where student, alumni and faculty are recognized for their achievements. This past year this awards day was not held due to COVID 19. The intent is to host this ceremony at the end of Spring 2021 Semester. However, this will be dependent on state, local and university COVID-19 policies.
