For the past 20 years, the James McChesney Memorial Golf Classic has been a spring tradition for the EKU Department of Recreation and Park Administration at the Arlington Golf Course. Every year, golf enthusiasts compete not only for overall score, but also for awards such as the longest drive, closest to the hole, and hole-in-one! As part of the event, a silent auction is held both at the event and online featuring donations from local businesses.

The event is organized and hosted by REC 280 class, faculty and staff, and student volunteers. All proceeds benefit the James McChesney Scholarship fund.
