Advising Appointment
Advising Checklist
- Check your EKU email every day!
This is the official means of communication from EKU and you should use it when communicating with faculty and staff.
- Access your myEKU account!
You will need access to myEKU to see your Degree Works audit and Planner. To review the online schedule, to register for classes, and other important functions of the advising and registration process.
(Log in with your EKU email and password)
- Locate your EKU DegreeWorks and think about a few classes you still need to take or would like to take in the Fall semester.
Your Advisor will likely add your classes and RAC number to the Degree Works Planner. Firefox is the preferred browser for Degree Works.

- Contact Your Advisor
If you are not sure who your Advisor is, you can email your Advisor directly from your Degree Works audit or you can access your Advisor information in MyEKU.
Curious about specific program requirements? Find your program in the current University Catalog.
- Check your holds in myEKU. If you have a registration hold, you will not be permitted to register until the hold is resolved.
Many holds can be explained by the offices that added them. You can also contact Big E Central for financial and academic hold information.
