Student organizations: I have participated in various student organizations throughout my time at EKU. Omicron Sigma Sigma (EKU Chapter of the National Order of the Sword and Shield Honors Society) is a Homeland Security Honors Society that I helped to create along with several other students. I am also a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, the Criminal Justice Honors Society, and the College of Justice, Safety & Military Science Student Ambassadors. In addition, I have played viola with the Eastern Kentucky University Symphony Orchestra, for four years.
Post-Graduation Plans: I have been admitted to the University of Kentucky’s Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce for Fall 2024. I will be earning a degree in Intelligence Studies with a focus on Diplomacy.
Career Goals: Eventually I hope to work as an intelligence analyst to counter human-trafficking and child exploitation. Using the skills imparted to me by my professors, I have already had the opportunity to complete an internship working in counter-human trafficking and in conducting threat assessments.
What did you enjoy most about your time at EKU:There have been a lot of aspects of EKU that I’ve enjoyed ranging from the classes themselves, to networking and the friends that I have made. I think the thing I enjoyed the most was the connections I’ve made with professors and peers.
