Add Land Surveying to Your Set of Construction Skills

Prepare to pass the Kentucky certification exam

Surveyors are an important part of the construction industry because they make precise measurements to determine property boundaries. The Land Surveying Certificate is designed for students who have, or are pursuing, a four-year degree in a program other than land surveying for a college or university of recognized standing.

In this program, you’ll learn how to gather information though measurement, observation, research, and data analysis. Our expert faculty will help you develop the skills you need to pass the Kentucky certification exam and embark upon a successful career.

Career Outlook

Surveyors will continue to be needed to certify boundary lines and review sites for construction. Employment demand also will be tied to projects such as road repair and mining activities, although the use of drones and other technologies may limit growth somewhat by increasing worker productivity.

Employment of surveyors is projected to grow 6 percent from 2023 to 2033.
