Membership Term


The term of this membership span the dates of September 1st, 2024-August 31st, 2025. The length of this membership is also referred to as a season.

Membership Dues and Fees


Payment for the membership is due at the time of membership application and can be made at the Greg Adams Indoor Tennis Facility by cash, check, credit/debit card starting in July 2024. Court rental fees apply in addition to the membership and pass fees. Kentucky’s state sales tax applies to all membership and court rental fees.

Non-Member Access


Non-members are welcome to rent courts during both prime time and non-prime time sessions when courts are not in reserved or in use by members. Non-members must purchase a non-member pass in order to use the indoor facility and are limited to ten (10) visits per season. The same court rental fees for members apply to non-members and are due in addition to the purchase of a non-member pass. Non-members are also welcome to participate in Pickleball and Junior Programs, but availability may be limited and the fees are higher for non-members. Non-members are expected to comply with all court and facility rules. Access to the lounge, locker rooms, and designated parking is not available for non-members. A parking day-pass will need to be obtained from the Center office for each visit.

Supervision of Minors


Minors must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. The supervision of minors is the responsibility of a minor’s accompanying adult. Minors may not be left unsupervised at any time or place during their time at the EKU Tennis Center, including the courts, second floor observation deck, member lounge, locker rooms, and during Junior Programs.

Court Rental Information


  • The purchase of a membership is required in order to schedule seasonal courts in advance.
  • There are two types of court rentals available: prime time and non-prime time.
  • Prime time court rental times for September-December are:
  • Monday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday 12:00 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 2:30 p.m.:
  • Sunday 12:00 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:45 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • The cost for a prime time court will be $25+tax for an hour and 15 minutes.
  • Non-prime time court rental times for September-December are:
  • 4 Courts available:
    Monday, Wednesday – Friday at 9:00 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 12:45 p.m.
    The cost for a non-prime court will be $20+tax for an hour and 15 minutes.
  • 2 Courts available:
    Tuesday mornings
  • Court rental times are subject to change for the months of January-May.
  • Court rental times vary for EKU home tennis competition and practice schedules.

Junior Programs


There are a variety of tennis programs available for children ages 4 to 17. Over the course of several weeks, students who participate in these programs will work with a USTA certified instructor to build upon current skill levels, improve upon both mental and physical stamina, and compete with other players. Members receive priority registration and discounted fees for these programs.

This program offers a fun, non-competitive introduction to tennis for ages of 4-6. This class will introduce your child to fundamental skills of tennis, develop their motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

The 8U program will develop player’s stroke knowledge, hand-eye coordination, agility and basic tennis skills. Program uses Red low compression ball and size appropriate racquets.

Children will learn to play tennis on 60’ court with Orange low compression balls and equipment designed for players their ages and size. The goal is to have children playing and competing as soon as possible.

This group will work on fundamental tennis strokes, scoring, movement, etiquette and learning to rally. The goal is to get these players ready for EKU White Group.

Players in this group can rally and play points. Players are provided match play drills in a fun and competitive environment.

This group is designed for advanced players. Players learn to use power and spins; can handle pace, has sound footwork, can control depth of shots and is beginning to vary game plan according to opponents. Can hit first serves with power and accuracy and place the second serve.

Pickleball


The Greg Adams Indoor Tennis Facility is now offering court times for pickleball play. Both members and non-members will have access to these courts on a walk-in basis. No reservations will be taken for pickleball courts. For members, the court fee is $20+tax per person. Non-members are required to use one season pass visit per pickleball session. There will be a limited number of pickleballs available for use at the facility, but players must bring their own paddles.
