Eastern Kentucky University offers reduced tuition rates of $250 per credit hour for undergraduate courses* and $342 for graduate courses* to eligible service members currently serving on active duty and/or serving in the Reserves/National Guard.
Reduced Military Spouse Tuition Rate
Eastern Kentucky University is proud to offer a reduced tuition rate of $250 per credit hour for undergraduate courses* to eligible spouses of active service members (Including National Guard and Reserves) who are not utilizing any other form of federal or state military education entitlement other than Tuition Assistance (TA) or My Career Advancement Account Scholarship (MyCAA). Please note the Reduced Military Spouse Rate can only be used for undergraduate courses.
Note: The following programs are not eligible for the Reduced Active Duty Rate: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, Doctorate in Nursing Practice, and BS/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
Provide the information requested on the “Single Record Request” tab to obtain a report certifying active duty status.** (Only enter the required information designated by the red asterisks – Name, DOB, SS#)

Reserve/National Guard submit Title 10 or Title 32 orders – or – a copy of your current LES
How to Claim Your Reduced Military Spouse Tuition Rate:
If you are currently serving in the National Guard/Reserve, and the SCRA certificate does not generate for you, you can submit a copy of your Title 10/32 Orders or a copy of your most recent LES in place of the Certificate of Active Duty Status.
Note: Proof of military spouse status must be resubmitted at the beginning of each academic year prior to the Add/Drop date and dated within 30 days of the beginning of the term. This rate cannot be applied retroactively.
Important Information
All students (including continuing and returning) must request the Reduced Military Rate prior to the beginning of each academic year, after August 1.
Students must submit their request by the Add/Drop deadline for each subsequent academic year. Please go to Colonels Compass for Add/Drop deadlines based upon your registered terms.
The Reduced Military Rate cannot be applied retroactively.
The Reduced Military Rate is not available for students who are also receiving KYNG State Tuition Assistance
