Open recreation basketball activities are now permitted on each half of Court 1 and Court 3. In order to play, a reservation must be made on mycampusrec.eku.edu or on our app “EKU Campus Rec”. Without a reservation, you will not be able to participate in basketball related activities. To just shoot around, a reservation is not required, but no more than 4 people are permitted on each half. Basketballs can be checked out at the Equipment Desk by providing your EKU ID number and then returned when finished.
The following reservation process and guidelines apply for all basketball related activities, including 2v2, 21, and pick up games.
Make a Reservation
Visit mycampusrec.eku.edu or our app “EKU Campus Rec”.
Under the “Reservations” icon, you will select which court you are interested in reserving. Options include:
Court 1
Court 3
From there, you will select the “Basketball Courts” icon under New Booking.
On the next screen, you will select which half court you would like to reserve as well as the time slot by clicking “Book Now”. Options include:
Court 1A
Court 1B
Court 3A
Court 3B
You will then receive an email confirmation of your reservation.
Reservation time slots will be available in 1-hour increments.
Reservations cannot be made back to back by the same individual
Upon Arrival
After checking into the Student Recreation Center, you will visit the Equipment Desk to confirm your reservation.
There, you will be able to check out a basketball(s).
The student staff member will check the calendar in the system to confirm your reservation.
Before you can play, the names of each individual participating in the reservation will need to be provided to the student staff member.
If an individual joins your reservation due to someone leaving, their name must first be provided to the Equipment Desk before they can play.
Guidelines
A maximum of 4 individuals will be allowed on each half court at one time.
Masks must be worn at all times.
Basketballs are only permitted to be shared while playing basketball related activities.
Each patron needs to check out their own basketball when just shooting around.
In order to practice social distancing, only the individuals who have reserved the next time slot will be permitted on the sidelines to wait.
Personal items, such as trash and water bottles, must be taken when finished or thrown away.
For individuals who do not reserve a time slot, but a half court is available, they will still need to make a reservation and check in at the Equipment Desk.
