On occasions when your university-provided Yealink phone is not functioning properly, you can attempt to resolve it by resetting the Yealink phone back to the factory settings.
Reboot the telephone by unplugging both the ‘Internet’ cord and power cord on the back of the phone. It is important to unplug both cords.
Count to 3 and plug them both back in
You will see ‘Welcome’ on the screen, then the word Yealink, just as soon as the screen turns white, press and hold both the # and * keys on the phone at the same time and keep holding.
Once you see a box come up asking if you want to Reset to factory, let go and click OK
Once it reboots, you will sign in by clicking ‘Sign in on this device’ at the bottom of the phone screen on the telephone. Enter your EKU email, click Done and enter your EKU password, then click Go.
Make a couple of test calls. First to a 622 number, then to your cell phone to verify you can make off campus calls too.
