Financial Aid: How To Apply for Financial Aid

Applying for financial aid can feel overwhelming, but we’re to help! Complete the steps below and then we’ll reach out with your award information.

Carefully read all information regarding your awards. If you don’t understand any part of the offered awards, contact Big E Central for clarification.

All students who are offered a federal loan and/or federal work study must login to myEKU to accept/reduce/decline those awards. If at any time, after you have accepted/reduced/declined an award you wish to have that award changed, you can contact Big E Central and we can help adjust it.

FAFSA – Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Eastern Kentucky University’s federal school code is 001963. You can access the FAFSA for the school year on Oct. 1.

Instructions on how to register and submit your FAFSA application can be found at studentaid.gov.
