Breastfeeding

EKU supports a mother’s decision to breastfeed by ensuring that she has an appropriate place to express milk within reasonable proximity to her work area.

We will work to ensure that you have a place to express milk for up to one year after the birth of your child that:

  • is not a bathroom
  • is shielded from view
  • is free from intrusions, coworkers and the public
  • is in proximity to your work area

Please contact the Employee Wellness Office at EKU at least 2 weeks before needing the facility, preferably before leaving for maternity leave.
