The Council on Academic Affairs is a committee of the Office of Academic Affairs
Responsibilities
The Council on Academic Affairs (CAA) is the major policy-making body for the academic programs of Eastern Kentucky University. The council processes, reviews, and votes on the approval or disapproval of curriculum changes including new courses, course revisions, course deactivations, new programs, program revisions, program suspensions, new policies, and policy revisions. Major actions of the Council are reviewed by the Faculty Senate and subsequently presented to the President of the University and the Board of Regents for final approval.

Executive Director for Enrollment Management(non-voting)
Dean of Libraries
Registrar
Chair of the Faculty Senate
Chair of Chairs Association
Dean of Graduate School
AVP of Institutional Effectiveness and Research
Director of e-Campus Marketing and Enrollment(non-voting)
Executive Director for Retention and Graduation(non-voting)
Vice President for Student Success(non-voting)
Associate Director of the Honors Program
Director of Academic Advising(non-voting)
Student Government Association Representative
Forms and Resources for changes to a course or program of study (major, minor, or certification), suspending a course or program, or making editorial changes to the catalog*.
