Check-In Guidelines

New Students:

  • When you arrive on campus you must visit the Olympic Sports Training Center check-in location first. Do not go directly to your Residence Hall when you arrive on campus, your keys are not there.
  • Upon arriving at the Training Center, you will be asked to present your scan code, which can be found on the Housing Portal. This code will also be emailed to you prior to move-in. This scan code is specific to you and should not be shared with other students. Please prepare to present it upon arrival and also a photo ID* in order to check in.
  • After you complete the check-in process, you can follow the directions on the appropriate map below to unload your vehicle. Once you have completed unloading, please move your vehicle to one of the lots in red on the maps below.

Returning Students:

You will check at your Residence Hall and will be asked to present your scan code. This code can be found on the Housing Portal or in the email that was sent to students from housing@eku.edu. This scan code is specific to you and should not be shared with other students. Please prepare to present it upon arrival and also a photo ID* in order to check in.

Grand Campus Apartment Residents:

You will check at the Grand Campus Clubhouse and will be asked to present your scan code. This code can be found on the Housing Portal or in the email that was sent to students from housing@eku.edu. This scan code is specific to you and should not be shared with other students. Please prepare to present it upon arrival and also a photo ID* in order to check in.

Examples of a photo ID include a driver’s license, passport, or a high school student ID.

Residence Hall Directions

On the Move-In Maps button below, select your assigned hall to download directions to your check-in location, where to unload your vehicle, and where to park when finished unloading. Please follow the specified route to minimize congestion and wait times.

Parking

Please utilize the dash pass when you arrive. These will be provided at the Olympic Sports Training Center as well. You will need to place these on the inside of the driver’s side car when you park to unload.

What to Bring to the Residence Halls for Move-In:

  • A photo ID (driver’s license, passport, high school ID).
  • Your unique scan code, which can be found on the Housing Portal, or in the email that was sent from the Housing and Residence Life team.
  • Your car window dash tag. These will be available during move-in, but if possible, please use the one mailed to you and place it on your dash in advance.
  • Students are encouraged to pack accordingly. Get additional information on what you can and cannot bring into your Residence Hall.
  • If you plan to raise your bed, you will need to bring your own tools or submit a work order upon arrival. Work orders for bed raising requests will not be processed on move-in day. Due to the high volume of requests, bed raising requests are performed throughout the first two weeks of the semester.
  • To raise your bed yourself you will need the following tool(s): Burnam, Clay, McGregor, Palmer, Sullivan, Telford, and Walters require a one-half-inch wrench. Martin, Mattox, North, and South Halls require a rubber mallet.
