The occupational therapy doctoral program has opened many doors in the areas of leadership and opportunity in the medical community and in education around the world. I have had the opportunity to start and run a business with over 30 employees and have lectured all over the world on the value and opportunities of occupational therapy in the treatment of people with traumatic up extremity injuries. I have been the chair of the national research board for Hand Therapy and Board of Directors for the Hand Therapy certification commission.
