The E4 Girls Health and Leadership Camp was held June 13 – 16th, 2022. The camp was a result of a Cross College Collaborative between the Department of Recreation and Park Administration, College of Health Sciences, College of Education and Applied Human Sciences, and Campus Recreation. Students from REC 325 served as camp counselors for this camp, putting their new found knowledge on “Camp Supervision” into action.
The camp, designed with four pillars in mind, focused daily on a specific theme Empower, Educate, Equip, Excel. Activities included team building, campus tours, scavenger hunts, self-compassion, table etiquette, critical thinking, self-care, recreation, crafts, virtual and social media safety, physical and emotional health, and lots more.
A special thank you to all those who volunteered, sponsored, and supported this endeavor. Plans are already being made to offer this experience again in the future!
