How to Apply
EKU’s Admissions Office has information and application for all students! In addition to those listed below, you can get information as an online student, international student, or dual credit student. You can also learn about EKU’s Booksmart program for free textbooks for Fall 2021 and available scholarships.
Incoming Freshmen (First-Time Students)
Apply for Admission – It’s free to apply!
- Apply to EKU using the online application. The online application is free!
- Submit a high school transcript.
- Submit your ACT or SAT scores (not required, but encouraged for determining appropriate course placement).
Transfer Students
A transfer student is anyone who has attended another college or university after graduating high school but before coming to EKU. Visit the EKU Transfer Center for a wealth of information and application for transfer students.

Graduate Students (returning graduates with bachelor’s/master’s degrees)

Master of Arts in Education (MAED)

Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT)
Do you have a non-teaching baccalaureate degree in an appropriate field (like math, biology, or chemistry) and want to earn your teacher certification? You can enroll in the MAT program for Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (birth-Kindergarten), Elementary Education, middle grades, secondary or P-12 levels. Schedule a Visit
College of Education and Applied Human Sciences tours, now known as Maroon Madness, are conducted by student ambassadors, faculty, and staff. You will visit department offices, classrooms for Teacher Education, American Sign Language and Communication Disorders, the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, the American Sign Language lab/multi-media studio, and have the opportunity to ask questions about our programs. You can also sign up for a tour of the whole EKU campus the SAME day!
You must register 3 business days in advance for your preferred date.
Maroon Madness Visits are held every Wednesday and begin at 12:00 P.M. Eastern Time.
Maroon Madness Visits for the Spring 2024 semester will begin on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
