Students in the PGA Golf Management program have the exclusive opportunity to compete in more than 30 tournaments throughout each academic year. These tournaments include weekly, 9-hole tournaments and ‘Majors’ designed for player development to improve tournament playing skills, all at no additional cost for PGM students. University Club at Arlington Golf Shop credit is awarded to the top players of each event.
The PGA Golf Management “Major” tournaments are 36-hole events played on weekends. The Majors consist of:
- The PGA Golf Management Club Championship: Individual Stroke-play (men’s and women’s division)
- The Colonel Cup: 12-player team event modeled after the Ryder Cup format
- The Colonel Classic: 2-player team event involving four formats
- The Arlington Shoot Out: (6-player team event)

- Welcome Back Scramble: 18-hole, four-player scramble that kicks off the Fall semester
