Now retired, Dick Bradow has been a PGA Member since 1976. His life-long love of golf took him to Michigan State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree and was a member of their golf team, being named MVP in his senior year.

Bradow worked his way up the ranks as Assistant Golf Professional at Fort Wayne Country Club to Head Golf Professional at Hillview Country Club in Franklin, Indiana, and then at Audubon Country Club in Louisville. He became a PGA Certified Professional in Golf Operations in 2007 and is a PGA Certified Playing Ability Text Examiner.

Bradow used his more than two decades of experience to become a PGA Employment Consultant and Eastern Region Director of PGA Employment Services until his retirement in 2016. He continues on as a member of the Kentucky PGA Employment Committee. Through his career, he served three terms on the Kentucky PGA Board of directors and was Chair of the Kentucky PGA Employment, Education, Tournament, and Long-Range Planning Committees.

Service to the PGA has run deep throughout Bradow’s career. He served on the Indiana PGA Board of Directors and was President of Indiana PGA Assistant Professionals’ Association. His memberships also include the PGA National Employment Council and PGA National Employment Committee.

His hard work and dedication to the game of golf has been recognized with several honors and awards including the 2017 Indiana PGA Bill Strausbaugh Award as well as in 1991, 1998, and 1999. He was selected the Kentucky PGA Golf Professional of the Year for 1990 and 1994 and was given the Kentucky PGA Horton Smith Award for 1992. Bradow has been recognized as the Kentucky PGA Private Club Merchandiser of the Year for three years and was recognized as being America’s 100 Best Golf Shops by Golf Digest/Golf Shop Operations for 1990.

A consummate player, Bradow won Indiana PGA Match Play Champion in 1981, was Kentucky PGA Player of the Year runner-up for 1992, two-time runner-up for the Indiana Open Championship, and qualified eleven times for the PGA Professional National Championship as well as eight times for the Kentucky PGA Challenge Cup Team.
