The College of Business offers many professional development opportunities for business students that will enhance their educational experience and provide a discipline-specific focus to career development goals.

EKU Center for Career & Co-op offers career days and other career development opportunities, such as resume preparation, mock interviews, and shadowing. Visit the Office of Advising and Career Services for more information and upcoming events.
The College of Business Distinguished Speaker Series brings accomplished executives to campus each fall to share their insights directly with students.
Professional Development Series
The College of Business Professional Development Series (BUS 100, BUS 200, BUS 300, BUS 400) spans the four years of the degree program and covers topics such as business etiquette, financial literacy, job readiness, and personal productivity.
BUS 100
In this course, students will focus on first impressions and social media presence, basic banking and personal budgeting, self-discovery of values and career exploration, as well as goal setting and time management.
BUS 200
In this course, students focus on professional appearance and introductions, income planning and taxes, job application materials, and building a network, as well as passion and perseverance.
BUS 300
In this course, students focus on dining etiquette and conversation topics, debt and benefits, interviewing and personal selling, as well as motivations and professional portfolio building.
BUS 400
In this course, students focus on business travel and cross-cultural relationships, investments and retirement, applying for and obtaining a job, and work-life balance and community responsibility.
