Education: BM Music Education, Ithaca College

Originally from Peoria, Illinois, Alex Dietz is a passionate music educator that has performance and teaching experience with a wide variety of groups. Most recently, Alex served as the 9 – 12 Band Director at Dansville High School in Dansville New York, and on the staff of the New York Skyliners Drum and Bugle Corps as a Brass and Visual Technician. Beyond this, Alex has played a role on the staff for the Ninety-Six High School Marching Band and Indoor Percussion Ensemble from Ninety-Six South Carolina, and the Johnson City High School Marching Band from Johnson City, New York. Alex is a proud graduate of Ithaca College, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, and a proud alumnus of the Blue Stars, Spirit of Atlanta, and Legends Drum and Bugle Corps. Alex is ecstatic to start his journey at EKU to grow and share his love of music and music education!
