ASLIE offers a minor in ASL!
A minor in American Sign Language teaches communication competency in a visual language. Students become knowledgeable about aspects of the hard-of-hearing and Deaf community. For careers working with the public, this minor is beneficial in that it promotes understanding and communicating with the Deaf and hard-of-hearing. This minor does not prepare students to interpret, nor does it fulfill the admission requirements for the Interpreter Training Program.
